Diplomarbeit aus dem Jahr 2010 im Fachbereich Pädagogik - Heilpädagogik, Sonderpädagogik, Note: 1,0, Pädagogische Hochschule Ludwigsburg (Institut für Sonderpädagogig Reutlingen), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Im ersten Abschnitt befasse ich mich mit der sexuellen Assistenz für MmB und beschreibe die Unterschiede zwischen passiver und aktiver Assistenz. Als Teil der aktiven Assistenz gehe ich auf die Sexualbegleitung ISBB® in Trebel und die Prostitution gesondert ein.
Im zweiten Teil widme ich mich der Sexualität und ihren unterschiedlichen Aspekten. Dabei beschreibe ich den biologischen, soziosexuellen und psychosexuellen Aspekt, sowie die Entfaltung der Sexualität im zeitlichen und kulturellen Wandel.
Im dritten Teil stelle ich die besonderen Umstände dar, die für die Sexualität von MmB in dieser Gesellschaft und im Allgemeinen gelten (z.B. die erhöhte Missbrauchsgefahr). Dabei interessieren mich die gesellschaftlichen Vorurteile, deren Wirkung auf den Umgang mit Sexualität und Behinderung abstrahlt. Ich begegne der Frage, ob es ein „Recht auf Sexualität“ gibt und versuche Ansätze zu finden, warum gelebte Sexualität zwischen behinderten und nichtbehinderten Menschen kaum stattfindet(oder stattfinden darf?).

Der vierte Teil der Arbeit befasst sich größtenteils mit den Aussagen, die ich aus unterschiedlichen Quellen herausgearbeitet habe. Dazu interviewte ich zwei Sexualbegleiter in der Schweiz und zwei Sexualbegleiterinnen aus Deutschland. Des Weiteren besuchte ich einen sog. Erotikworkshop in Trebel, wo ich die Möglichkeit fand zwei männliche, körperbehinderte Kunden zur SB zu befragen. Auf einen Aufruf im Internet hin meldete sich ein junger Mann mit einer Körperbehinderung, der sich meinen Fragen schriftlich stellte. Seine Erfahrungen beziehen sich auf Treffen mit Prostituierten. Um darüber hinaus auch die sexuellen Möglichkeiten und Einschränkungen von MmB in einer Institution im Blick zu haben, sprach ich mit einer Mitarbeiterin des psychologischen Fachdienstes der Bruderhausdiakonie in Reutlingen.

So ergibt es sich, dass sich drei Perspektiven auf SB und Prostitution ergeben. Die der Kunden, die der Anbieter (wobei nur SBter interviewt wurden) und die Sichtweise einer Institution.
Im der Schlussbetrachtung und Ausblick, gleichzeitig fünften und letzten Teil der Arbeit versuche ich das gewonnene Wissen zusammenzufassen und in Verbindung zu bringen.
Dabei will zu einer Klärung der Frage kommen, welche Bedeutung käufliche, sexuelle Dienstleistungen im Leben eines MmB zukommen können und ob sie den Bedürfnissen der Menschen gerecht werden.

About the Author

Roger O'Keefe is Professor of Public International Law at University College London and a Visiting Professor at Central European University. Previously he was a Senior Lecturer in Law and the Deputy Director of the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law at the University of Cambridge and a Fellow of Magdalene College, Cambridge. In 2004 he was awarded the Journal of International Criminal Justice Prize for his article 'Universal Jurisdiction: Clarifying the Basic Concept', and in 2009 he was a member and the co-rapporteur of the African Union-European Union Technical Ad hoc Expert Group on the Principle of Universal Jurisdiction.

Dive back into the 60's

The merit of the book is to provide an affordable compilation of Archigram's images and original text, mostly published on Architectural Design almost forty years ago. While it is disappointing not to have color pictures, the graphics are still compelling and provocative (all done without Photoshop!). It is a very good basic reference book if you are interested in Archigram.

Laurie Schneider Adams received a Ph.D. in Art History from Columbia University. She is Professor Emerita of Art History at John Jay College, City University of New York, where she taught art survey, and at the Graduate Center, where she taught courses on the Italian Renaissance and on Art and Psychoanalysis. Text Book for Art History Class

Wow! For the summer semester, the advance notice from the instructor was to read the introduction and first three chapters as the material we will cover the first week. Dense. (Not "stupid-dense", "intense-dense"). Assignment total of about 120 pages, and I've been reading it for almost a week -- and still have one chapter to go! BUT, and this is the five-star reason for my good feelings about this book, it is not only readable, as in a non-preachy style, but utterly fascinating. Took a really long time to ship

It took a very long time to ship but it did arrive within the estimated time. It seems they shipped it at the very last minute to make it within the delivery period. I actually called Amazon to question what was happening with it.

Otherwise, the book itself is very well organized and has beautiful pictures. While it's for a class, I will probably keep it rather than selling it back or trading it.

The purpose of this project has been to study, operate and program the 32-bit 150MIPS TMS320F2812 DSP developed by Texas Instruments Inc. In addition, it has also been a goal to implement fast estimation techniques for control of resonant converters. For this purpose, PWM signals that are generated using this DSP are used. The demands on the system and the hardware to solve the problem were already decided when I started the work. The algorithms were programmed in C/C++ language, compiled, debugged and transferred to the DSP development board in a compiling and simulation tool (downloader), called CCS (Code Composer Studio v2), also provided by Texas Instruments. In the first chapters of this study I give general information about control systems, digital signal processors, digital signal processing and the DSP used in this work. The following chapters tell about PWM, how to configure the PWM outputs and some examples related with PWM signals are given. After a short review of series resonant converters, I presented the last example implemented in this project. I conclude with a summary and provide some hints of future work.

Since then he worked in different areas from automotive to product testing, renewable energy technologies and high voltage measurement technologies. Having lived in Turkey, Germany and Japan, since 2005 he calls Hong Kong his home. Currently he is active in the electric power industry, providing consultancy services to power utilities across Asia Pacific.

He or she should solve a given problem using different approaches with a variety of software systems and experiment with the various parameters of the problem. This book is intended for courses on numerical methods at the junior/senior level as well as at the beginning graduate level. The book also serves as a reference for numerical methods in engineering.

Although a student may not learn all the numerical methods described in this book and use all the software systems available in any one course, he or she should be in a position to intelligently select and use suitable numerical methods and software systems as the need arises in practice.

The use of numerical methods in engineering can be considered partly science and partly art. Thus, a cookbook-type procedure will not be effective in learning the methods. A student should solve a problem using different approaches and a variety of software systems and experiment with the various parameters of the problem. The different results obtained through this process will form an experience base for selecting a suitable method and interpreting the results for a new problem. It is always desirable to compare and verify the results with other available solutions based on engineering judgment and intuition.

This book is intended for courses on numerical methods at the junior and senior level as well as at the beginning graduate level. The book also serves as a reference for numerical methods in engineering. Fortran and C programs, along with illustrative examples, are given in each chapter to implement many of the numerical methods discussed in that chapter. The use of commercial numerical softwares—MATLAB, MAPLE and MATHCAD—in the solution of practical problems is demonstrated in every chapter. Even when a program from a software package is used, we need to understand the basic principles, purpose, and limitations of the program. Often, in many engineering applications, an available standard program cannot be used directly; we need to adapt and modify it. This invariably requires a sound knowledge of the numerical method as well as some computational experience with the method. The book is aimed at presenting numerical methods along with their practical applications in a manner that helps students achieve the goals just outlined.

Organization

Applied Numerical Methods for Engineers is organized into 13 chapters and 6 appendices. Chapter 1 presents an overview of numerical methods, iterative- processes, numerical errors, software available for numerical methods, programming languages, and the various aspects of computer program development. The methods of solving nonlinear equations are given in Chapter 2. The solution of sets of linear algebraic equations is presented in Chapter 3. Both direct and iterative methods are considered. The matrix eigenvalue problem is the topic of Chapter 4. Chapter 5 deals with the methods of curve fitting and interpolation. The probabilistic and statistical methods are considered in Chapter 6. The numerical differentiation and numerical integration are the topics of Chapters 7 and 8, respectively. The numerical solution of ordinary differential equations is considered in Chapters 9 and 10. While Chapter 9 presents the methods of solving initial-value problems, Chapter 10 deals with the solution of boundary-value problems. The numerical solution of partial differential equations is considered in Chapter 11. The optimization and the finite-element methods are presented in Chapters 12 and 13, respectively. Appendices A and B provide the basics of Fortran and C languages while Appendices C, D, and E summarize the basics of MAPLE, MATLAB, and MATHCAD, respectively. A review of matrix algebra is given in Appendix F. Finally, Appendix G presents tables of statistical distributions.

The material of the book provides flexible options for different types of numerical methods courses. A junior and senior level course may cover the basic techniques of Chapters 1, 2, 3, and 5 to 9. A first-level graduate course can cover Chapters 4, 10, 11, 12, and 13 as well. The prerequisites for using the text are elementary calculus, basic concepts of linear algebra, and an introduction to differential equations.

Each topic for Applied Numerical Methods for Engineers is self-contained. Break Out of the Box

This is a great book if you're looking to break out of the proverbial pentatonic minor box position and make your soloing more melodic. Essentially, the book is a collection of licks that highlight "target" tones for the I, IV and V chords in the blues progression. It is crammed full of information, and the CD is a welcome addition that was notably lacking in Gress's previous book. You'll need discipline to work through this, but added to a practice routine it will definitely help take the advanced beginner to the intermediate level.

Blues Factory: great instruction book and CD for building riffs. Some of these you have heard other guitarists play, but now you can tweak and link them into your own as part of your solos. The CD includes mp3 examples that you can link together into your own working copy solo. What a great way to spend practice days playing your riff-blocks.

Good idea, but could use a clearer howto at the beginning

A good concept for constructing single note (I.e. One note at a time) solos, though you're free to throw in double stops, etc. The basic concept for a 12 bar blues would be 2x (pickup lick)->(chord tone of the I with pentatonic noodling to the root) then (pickup lick)->(chord tone of the IV with pentatonic noodling to the root) then (pickup lick)->(chord tone of the I with pentatonic noodling to the root) then (Pickup lick)->(1 measure V chord tone lick) then (1 measure IV chord tone lick) then (2 measure turnaround lick). You have to decide which of the chord tones of each chord to target. You have to read through a fair amount of the book and try some things out before this becomes clear.

Liberty, equality, and heartfelt religion led to new conceptions of virtuous, rational womanhood and responsible parenthood. These changes can be seen in falling birthrates, in advice to friends and kin, in portraits, and in a gradual, even reluctant, shift in men's opinions. Revolutionary-era women redefined femininity, fertility, family, and their futures by limiting births. Women might not have won the vote in the new Republic, they might not have gained formal rights in other spheres, but, Klepp argues, there was a women's revolution nonetheless.

the revolution behind the scenes

The United States did not seek to regulate contraception and abortion until the mid-nineteenth century. Family size peaked in the mid-eighteenth century. What happened in between? That, in a nutshell, is Klepp's topic in Revolutionary Conceptions. Klepp maintains that while the American Revolution was unfolding on the world stage, another, female-led revolution was unfolding behind the scenes as American couples began to delay marriage, space births, and curtail childbearing several years before the wives reached menopause. These changes transformed the pattern of women's lives and their very conception of their purpose in life.

This engaging book is a surprisingly quick read as scholarly works go. It has a strong statistical foundation, with due attention to regional and class differences. Klepp approaches her topic imaginatively: in one lavishly illustrated chapter, she explores how images of women gradually changed from emphasizing fertility to emphasizing self-control. The chapter on the technology of birth control is less satisfactory because Klepp doesn't wrap it up with a clear assessment of exactly how the typical Revolutionary-era woman limited family size, but she does at least provide a comprehensive overview of the full range of methods available, with an emphasis on emmenagogues. In short, Revolutionary Conceptions is a well-researched and fascinating book that challenges many previous theories about when and why Americans began to limit family size. Highly recommended.
